Review of Rubybox ‘Va va volume’ mascara

                                                  source - (with a touch of personal editing)

Here is my review on Rubybox’s ‘Va Va Volume mascara’, for starters it has elegant packaging with a classic black tube – always a winner in my book. Now to see if it’s va va boom!! Or va va doom…

When I was applying the mascara - it had a smooth and easy glide but almost too easy, as it smudged easily which meant there had to be many touch ups done. Not beuno! Once applied it feels a little gloopy, as when I blinked the lashes appeared to stick a little. Which worried me as I’m sure like most of you, when I wear makeup I don’t want to feel it sticking to my face.

But after (quite a long) wait I reapplied a second coat, although having to work out any clumping, once complete it added a lot of volume and even lengthened my little lashes.

On the tube it reads - “Get fatter lashes instantly with this volume-boosting mascara” which makes it the first I’ve seen “fat” on any beauty product other than “removes fat” which I thought was an interesting marketing strategy.

But all in all this Rubybox mascara works and does its job but it’s definitely not on my top 5 list.

Batiste Dry Shampoo {Review}

Now this is a product that I have walked past many times in the isles of a million choices of shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, hair oils, mousses, sprays and all sorts of other potions to sort out dull, greasy hair that lacks shine and lustre. So probably like many of you, I just walked past, picking up my normal favourite products – never wondering into the unknown.

Now the day before hair washing day can get tricky, its starting to get oily, yet your hair has just retained its natural bounce – so dilemma – what do you do? you pick up the “so called” trusted baby powder and then your hair looks well, dull and full of baby powder.

Which brings me back to this little spray can on the shelf. Upon reading, “ instantly revitalises hair. Removes excess grease, boosts body & leaves hair feeling clean & fresh”. Sounded too good to be true but I gave it a bash.

Well I can honestly say I have found my favourite hair potion. After following directions, it really did help wonders, this little spray can will forever be in A. my gym bag (not that I go to gym – but when I do..) to refresh my hair if there is no time to wash my hair. B. My hand bag (just in case) and C. (the most important) my travel bag when going on safari – as you never know when showering might not be a possibility.

My hair definitely had more volume, felt soft, and didn’t look powdery like baby powder would have made it. Just make sure to only spray the roots, don’t spray too much and brush it out.

I tried original and Blush, although Blush smells lovely, I wouldn’t want people to know I’m wearing it, so will stick to original!
